Jackson Guide provides real-time mountain conditions for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort:

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to use the app?

No. The core features — lift status, trail conditions, weather, and AI recommendations — work without any login. Instructor Mode requires ProCard credentials issued by the resort.

How does the AI Terrain Concierge work?

The AI uses current mountain conditions, your selected ability level, and real-time lift/trail data to suggest runs. A demo mode with 10 queries per day is included. You can also add your own Claude API key for unlimited use.

Is my data private?

Yes. See our Privacy Policy below. The app collects minimal data and does not sell or share your information.

The app shows outdated conditions. What should I do?

Pull down to refresh on any screen. Mountain data updates every few minutes from official resort sources.

I'm having trouble with ProCard login.

Instructor Mode connects to the resort's VertServices system. If you're having issues, ensure your ProCard credentials are current and try logging in again. Contact support if problems persist.

Jackson Guide respects your privacy. Here's what we collect and why:

Data We Collect

Usage data: Basic analytics to improve the app (screens viewed, feature usage). No personally identifiable information is collected without your consent.
ProCard credentials: If you enable Instructor Mode, your credentials are stored securely on your device using iOS Keychain. They are only sent to the resort's official VertServices API for authentication.
AI queries: If you use the AI Terrain Concierge, your queries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. No conversation history is stored on our servers.

Data We Don't Collect

We don't collect your name, email, or personal information unless you contact support.
We don't sell or share your data with third parties.
We don't track your location.

Third-Party Services

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort APIs: For lift status, trail conditions, and weather data.
Anthropic (Claude): For AI terrain recommendations.
VertServices: For instructor schedule data (only if you enable Instructor Mode).

Your Rights

You can delete all locally stored data by removing the app. For questions about your data, contact support@dzsec.net.
