Families
A family lesson has to work for everyone in it. That might be a parent who wants steeps, a kid who just learned to stop, and a teenager somewhere in between.
How kids learn
For kids, I make up games, adventure maps and scavenger hunts. The day stays fun and moves fast, and they build technique by exploring the mountain.
One day, three levels
When a family skis at three levels, I plan the day so nobody spends it waiting. We pick runs with an easier way down and a harder one that meet at the bottom. Each skier gets something to work on, and we ski together often.
We can also split the day by ability or by goals. For example, I ski with the kids in the morning and with the parents in the afternoon.
Returning families
I remember your goals and how each of you skis. When you come back next season, we pick up where we left off.

What does a family day look like?
We pick terrain where each skier has a way down that fits them, and we meet up often. Each person gets something to work on. Lessons are a full day or a half day. We can start any time, but most people start at 9am when the mountain opens. You can also book early access, which gets us on the mountain before it opens to the public. It's great on powder days.

Yes. We can split a family day by ability or by goals. For example, I ski with the kids in the morning and with the parents in the afternoon.
Can I book you for my whole trip?
Yes. You can have the same instructor every day of your trip.
Where do we meet?
Wherever is convenient for you: the base of the mountain, your hotel, your home or your rental.
How much does a private lesson cost?
I send the price with your confirmation. Payment is handled through Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Current prices are on the resort's Mountain Sports School page.
